Dr. A. Alekhing, the world's chess champion was engaged in another exhibition at Lane Crawford's Restaurant last night when he played forty simultaneous games with some of the best talent in the Colony.
The champion made his moves with amazing rapidity and at the outset hardly stopped to study the chessmen before making a move. His early moves however, were by no means haphazard for one player succumbed after only seven movos.
