THE OVERSEAS LEAGUE FORTHCOMING ENTERTAIN.

MENT

Encouraged by the success of the excellent entertainment - given ́at the Helena May Institute carly this year, the local branch of the Oversons Leaguo is' arranging a similar function to be held on January 20 at 9.15 p.m.

As on the previous occasion, whilst the entertainment is. tár ranged for Overseas, League mem- bers in particular, it is also open to the pulic, and we feel sure, the splendid fare provided at the lost concert being still in the minds of the many who attended, that the Hong Kong Branch of the League can be assured of a crowded house at the forthcoming enterprize, and that the efforts to entertain will be rewarded. märgata

-It is a little early to disclose. the names of the individual artistes who have promised to take part, hat we understand that a very ambitioun | programme of Concert items and one-act plays is being arranged, in order to achieve re- sults as good as the first entertain- ment, and that to further this end, some of the best talent in the Colony have offered their services. Impending patrons are asked to note that tickets, price $1.50 cach can be obtained on application to Mrs. G. S. Windeyer at the Helena Mar Institute, Hong Kong. K

The entertainment will take Blace at the Helena May Institute, and a portion of the pro- ceeds will be given, to St. John's Ambulance Association.
