A word of praise is due to the manner in which Sergeant Caswell refereed. A word was twice whis- pered in the ear of one Chinese player, and a good many free kicks given for minor infractions of rules, but the game was a sponting bue and greatly enjoyed by the crowd.

FIRST DIVISION
ST. JOSEPH'S v. CLUB
The Club, playing at Home went under to the Saints by two goals to one and once again the Club were beaten by stamina. They played well enough during the first half of the game and if anything had the botter of exchanges. Howe was very prominent in the forward line and Dominy also played a big hearted game, never finding the work too much for him. Strange and Duncan played a sterling- game and fed the forwards very woll and it was this team work that held down the Saints in the earlier part of the game and ac tually gave them the lead, through Dominy before the interval.
In the second half however, the Club seemed to fall away and al- though Howe had an excellent chance of increasing the lead, he did not realise his opportunity. The Saints equalised through B. Gonno who scored from a beauti ful pass from Beltrao and towards the end of the game, when the struggle for leadership was at its height, A. V. Gosano broke through to give the Saints the deciding goal.
POLICE RECREIO
As generally expected the Re- creio went under to the Police who won by five goals to three. The Recreio boys were certainly more nippy than the heavy police team and here also stamina and, peam SUNDAYS & HOLIDAY work told its tale. The Recisio scored first through Gomes but the Police were not long in equalising, Pile being responsible. As it is they have still to wait for their first league points.
