MARKET ON THE EASY SIDE
Although there was a great deal of activity tha market was again on the easy side during the week umder review and there was a fir- ther satback win rates, more es pacially in the lower priced issues auch as Cements which were done down to 88.73 at one time. Lighte went to 912.70 and Hotels to 39.15. Benities were steady at 87.30. There was not much active trading in the investment section, where rates held very well, a few Trams were done, at $20.50, and Electrics at 873.00 This section showed very. little change. Sterling dividend issues ward better with Banks and Ucions, in strong request at $1,800 and 30-respectively. The market closes somewhat steadier ut 'the Hatest low levels, and on the sur- face appears to have just about 'reached, bottom. The future trend of the market although difficult to forecast cannot continue downward as stocks are now standing at vary sound hivestment levels, and, in Bang" instances their cornings will show considerable improvement for 102 which in due course will be refected in better dividends.
