An eloquent plea for right relationship Between individuals and · an abandoning of exaggerated nationalism was made by Dr. Wants maker, who is of American nationality, when addressing Canton Rotary Club. The speaker extrolled the Rotary spirit as an example to the world.

Referring to China, Dr. Wannamaker said that Chisa must of necessity go through a period of intense national consciousness, and must make herself strong as the European nations are strong: He was certain that China would in the future, as in the past "play a great part in the history of the world and make great contention towards human welfare and happiness.
