RAFFLE AT CHILDREN OF MARY'S STALL.
A glass tube with a funnel at the end did just the opposite of what one would expect when Dr. Clay put a ping pong ball in the funnel and started to blow the tube. In stead of the ping-pong ball being blown yards away, it remained tight in the funnel. The pressure of the air outside and tho suction st the point when the ball touched the funaci accounted for this,
Another trick was the passing of & ping-pong ball from one egg-cup to another without either the cup or the ball being touched. The cups were placed closed to each other and by merely blowing across the top of the cups, the ball jumped" out of one cup into another.
The address wastyéry much enjoy-
