YOUNG DONOVAN'S KID!!

**Young Dono,an's "Kal" is a 6lm of racketeers in New York in the days just preceding Prohibition in America. The methods of the gangsters in those days makes in- teresting comparison with the methods of his modern counterpart -the bootlegger.

Donovan, in the story, is a gang leader, and as such he promises to look after the kid of a gangster who is killed in a shooting affiray. Donovan gets to like the kid, so much so, that he does everything possible to onable the child to grow up into a worthy citizen.

The kid, however, is taken away: by a Child's Welfare society and Donovan swears he will show the city just how bad he can be. He is persuaded to change his mind by the daughter of preacher, and keena straight.

The girl is robbed of a large sim of money by a gang of robbers and Donovan is suspected. How he clears himself, and regains the custody of the "kid" as well na win for himself the preacher's daughter, is eleverly told on the

screen.

A cartoon "Jumping Beans " puts the audienco in very good humour and Specialty number entitled "Flower Garden "
