The Premier, in extending a greeting to the delegates said that everything the British Government
could do to contribute to the suc wws of the work would be done without stint.
HM. the Aga Khan, on behalf of the Indian delegates, said they had returned to London with a will to succeed. They were determined to draw up a canalitution that
would really work and at the sume time satisfy the legitimate aspira tions of the Indian people.
Object of Agenda.
Sir Samuel Houre said the object, of the agenda was to cover the ques tions not yet sufficiently discussed and to avoid repetition of the dis cassions already held. He thought they should try to Buish the confer ence by about December 20, because if they were to get ahead with the Joint Select Committee in the next ression, the Government must have' adequate time to consider ita pro- posals. The Conference meets again on Monday.

The Statistical Office of the Imports and Exports. Department reports that total imports of merchandise into the Colony in the month of October amounted $19.0 millions (£3,3 millions) as com- pared with $64.6 million (£3.7 millons) in October of last year, while exports totalled $39.6 millions (22.6 millions) as compared with $49,5 millions (£3.0 millions).
