MR. BOYCE-COOMBE ADDRESSES ROTARIANS

ON .. JAVA

A TRIBUTE TO DUTCH COLONISATION

An instructive address of the habits and customs of the Javanese with a glimpse of the country in which they live was contained in an address delivered yesterday by Mr. R. A. Boyce Coorabe at the Rotary Club,,

Mr. Coombe paid a tribute to the Dutch for the manner in which they have colonised Java and referred to the excellęnk progress they have made in that country.

The Hon. Dr. S. W. Tso presided and at the outset announc ed that the Club has received a tag from the Rotary Club of Brockton, Massachusetts, U.S.A. The latter had asked for a fing of Hong Kong and Dr. Two suggested that it might be as well for the Rotary Club of Hong Kong to have its own flag. He hinted that artistically-minded members might submit designs.
