#HIPPING MOVEMENTS,
It stated that many districts have been developed as the result of the opening up of the trade route. For example, Igarka, on the Yenessel, about 400 miles from month, was not in existence three years ago, and last year it had about 12,000 inhabitants. The river at thas point id, about thres miles wide. Three sawmills have been established there, and they are re ported-to-be-busily engaged in-pre-i paring timber for transport by some of the ships engaged on the presant voyage. About 50 miles from Igarka large supplies of anthracite and other kinds of coal-were dis covered last year, near the surface of and it is expected that this will mean a considerable development of the district, which is adjacent to the river Kureika.
In charge of the trading voyage is Mr. Sheveleff, whose chief assis tant, Captain Bhibinsky, has been entrusted with the charge of opera tions where ice condition prevail.
