A very pleasant function took place at the Police Reserve Club in Queen's Road Central, yesterday, when a party of some six people attended to party given in honour of certain members of the Chinese Company who were recent ly promoted,

Bandall, Mr., Wong Hok King, Mr. Wong Hok Chi and Mr. Li Sing Kue
Mr. D. L King, in a brief speech, welcomed the guests and congratu- lated those who had recently been promoted. He also took the op portunity of thanking the members of the finance committee of the Company, who, he said, bad placed the Company in their debt, by their unfailing help and generosity.
