At the Kowloon Magistracy yes- terday, Wong Sau Ching, a woman from Amoy, was brought before Mr. Fraser on n charge of having taken part in a transaction to transfer possession, custody or con- trol of two girls aged 14 and 13 for the respective sums of 8120 and $20.

This man went to the mother of this girl and told her that he knew of a wealthy Fukien man who wanted to adopt a daughter. Tho woman was a widow and agreed to let her daughter be adopted into a respectable family. She agreed to take a sum of 8120 ton the adoption of her daughter, and was given #5 as deposit.
