V.D.A. ANNUAL RE-UNION IN LONDON.
WARM WELCOME TO BISHOP DUPPUY.
TWELVE YEARS' WORK IN HONG KONG REVIEWED.
Not even the Bishop's retirement from the Farthest East to the peaceful pastures of Worcester, nor the much regretted ab. sence through illness of Mrs. Duppuy from the gathering; could damp the meeting of the friends of South China in glorious Ascot wenther at Victoria House on June 15. Perhaps the knowledge that the original president and founder of the Association would be in the centre of England instead of in Far Cathay, and the Society must strenuously continue its efforts to help the Colonial Church and the young native Church in South China, although ander new and untried leadership, mitigated the sense of loss. As Vice-President the Canon of Worcester will no doubt inspire the V.D.A. in the future as he has in the past.
The attendance appeared to be larger than ever, and, after the most interesting addresses cf the Bishop and the Rev. P. Jen- kina, very animated conversation continued for over an hour.
