The case in which Cheng Kwok Yau in charged with procur. ing the murder of George Fung on March 24 was continued be. fore Mr. Wynne Joues at Central Magistracy yesterday, when the principal witness enlled was Lai Ming Fai (Fay) who was cross-examined at some length, by counsel for the defence, Mr. G. K. Hall Brutton.

In the course of her auswers to Mr. Bratton, witness said that she was shown an anonymous letter which someone had writ ten to the accused regarding her association with Fung. Witness was naked if she agreed that whoever had written those letters must have had a grudge either hinst her or Fung, and sho agreed.

Fung's association with other women ware brought up by Mr. Bratton who asked witness" many questions in connection with it. Mr. Brutton mentioned a fight in Fang's, house in Waterloo Road. over a woman,, but witness said she had no knowledge of such an incident.
