Sir William Gowers as been Governor of the Uganda Protec- torate since 1925. He entered the Colonial Office in 1902, served with the Cameroon Expeditionary Forco in 1918-16, and was appointed Lieut.–Governor of Nigeria in 1921.

Sir Henry Lambert has been Senior Crova Agent since 1921, prior to which he was foed some yeara Assistant Under-Secretary af State for the Colonies.

Colonel Fleming has been ap- pointed Fourth Crown Agant for the Colonies and Eagines-in-Chief, in sucression to Colonel Sir James Carmichael, who is shortly retiring.
