GLENEAGLES WINS FROM KING'S BOUNTY.

HETMAN AND SITTING BULL IN THRILLING FINISH AT THE END OF MILE AND HALF RACE.

SEASON TICKET BEAT WOODLAND STAG IN RECORD TIME OVER SIX FURLONGS.

BY MORNING DEW."]

The First Aggregate Stakes on Saturday provided a real thrill. and the sensational Amish which provided a win for Gleneagles will long be remembered.

[cap

Another very interesting race was the Commonwealth Handi. A Class, in which Holman got the better of Sisting Bull after a thrilling mile and a half race in which the issue was in doubt right up to the last stride.

Season Ticket won the six furlongs for Australians in record The time. He accounted for the much-fancied Wondland Stag. two penics fought out a thrilling finish in the straight and the winner only just got there by a hock.

MR. IP KUI YING STEERS HOME MISTLETOE.

THE RACING.

The programme opened with the novices race which provided a win for Helter Skelter ridden by Mr. Black The winner set a terrific pace early in the race and was never headed, though: Philanderer, riddou by Mr. Miles, at one time in the straight almost drew level. Helter Skelter, however, was aided by his light impost and drew away Zagain, in the final burst to win by length. Mr. Butler on Gold Bar was well fancied, but the pace proved to hot for him and he only just managed to seramble into third place!

The Australians; As predicted, the race for Aus. tralian ponies was confined to Igur ponies. Manna had a flying start with Beason Ticket with Wotin next and "Woodland Stag, a little further behind. These four Bot a terrific pace and drow away from the rest early on.

After the first quarter of mile Manna was spent and Wotin and Season Tickes both passed him in that order, but Woodland Stag did not seem to be able to reduce the lead at that stage of the race. At the village beud Wolin was pass ted by Season Ticket and Wood

land Stag began to draw up with the leader.

Anniversary Eve, Anniversary Evo had a fairly easy time of it in the "B" Class race for Australians. The going was so fast that he returned the excellent time of 1 minute 24.2 seconds and won by a length from Choy Pak. ridden by Mr. Charles, who aided by a dying start was able to lead all the way until about a hundred yards frem home. But After That

led third place. The public made Lucy Glitters favourite for this evont but in spite of Mr. Frost's. assistance, the pony could not keep up with the phee, Probably a longer race would suit this candidate better.

Lewis' Tontine backed there was some disappoint- mont at this stage, but despair was changed to hope when Mr. Frost suddenly moved Sitting Bull up and before you could say Jack Robin-

Mrs. Dunbar's pony was in front, running strongly and louding into the straight. Here Hetman was naked for a big effort and re- sponded gamoly. The two stalwarts put up such a isat quarter that it was difficult to imagine that they wore nishing a mile and a half race. Sadko was a good third.
