Sir Shou-son Chow, Chairman of the Bank of East Asia, presided over that bank's thirteenth ordinary annual meeting on Saturday. In the course of his speech he said that the profit for the year was $1,040,623,17** which, though less than the previous year, was ade. quate enough for the usual dividend to be maintained.

Scoring an easy win over the Police on Saturday, the South Wales Borderers qualified for the finals of the Bonior Shiuid Com- petition while the Highlanders and eth. Heavy Battery also won their way through to the fiual of the junior competition by virtue of victories over the Royal Air Force and Borderers respectively. Two league matches wore also played in the first division, the Navy beat. St. Joseph's by 3 to wil, and in the third division, the Engineers beat Reerpio by 4 goals to one.
