HOTEL.

IRISH HOSPITALITY AND GOOD CHEER.

Thy people, new exiles on many a share,

Shall love and revere thee till time be no more, And the fire thou hast kindled shall ever "buru bright

% Its warmth undiminished, undying its light.",

St. Patrick's Day, and its attendant celebrations, are to Irish people what ma-Careme is to the Riviera welcome relaxation, at a serious time of year. It is said that St. Andrew's Day is calo- brated in all countries, etcopt Scotland, and that" St. George's Day is celebrated hardly at all, but Trish people oversens have, the "advantage of knowing that they are fully in stop with the people

in the Homeland.

"The St. Patrick's Day hall is, comparatively, an innovation in Hong Kong, but it has fully taken its place with similar

National events" and has a very happy charactor well in"keep-"" ing with the Irish people, whom we all know, and the land of 'which it haả been said "to know is to love."
