The flower section was a wealth of beauty, the general impression being assistad greatly by a table of sweet peas, (not for exhibition) by Mr. Ho Kom Tong.

The various vases of cut flowers showed great taste, and made charming spectacle, but from the point of view of the disinterested visitor, ignorant of the finer points of horticulture, and seeking only! for beauty, the best exhibit of all was a few humble daffodils, stand- ing out in their English simplicity from the galaxy of foreign colour with their stems straight as a guardsman's back and with their heads held high, as well they "might.
