I'am all at son in turning to the second quarter. Here Chinese pairs predominate, having as their rivals a Japanese pair T.. Akiyama, and T. Honda But one of the probleme is Lee WarTong and Luk Ding Cheung. Individually rach is a player, capable of producing good net-work, They combine for the first time. Can they beat H. Lo'and Iu Tak Cheuk, ar old and seasoned combination whom they are likely to meet in tho second round! I am betting on this new partnership, and hope. Les, and Luk will not fail me! Then the Thui Brothers must be considered. They probably will reach the third- round to meet Loo and Luk. Ho Ka Law and Yow Man Kit are in the picture here, as well as F. Gross. and R. Chqa. Together with Honda and Alkiyama, these two paire strug ale for one of the last eight places which I expect the Japanesi will
occupy.
Forecasting for places in the third quarter is less difficult. I wonder whether Chiu Chan Chin, and W. C. Hung can get over Hancock and Redmond in the first round. Need- less to say they are experienced players, hat botin long past their best, while the Chinese are rising young players keen on winning, but
My forecast for the last eight, places follows :-----
E. C. Tincher and L. Goldman. G. A. White and G. C. Burnett T. Honda and T. Akiyama. Loo Wai Tong and Lak Ding
Choon
S. A. Rumjahn and H. D. Rum-
