Another griffin, of which much is expected, and which did well on Saturday, was Wild Life Ridden by Mr. T. Y. Tung over a mile, the pony registered 2.11, finishing the last quarter in a shado over 30 seconds. Wild Life is a beautiful looker and, appears to be in tip-top condition, and with Mr. T. Y. Tung in the anddle, ought to go a long way in earning some stake-money for his joint owners.
Saturday's gallops at Happy Valley were devoid of anything in the nature of a sensation, the best performances being these of Flying Tourist (Mr, Noods up) and Prin 0086 Hall (Mr. Dalla up). The former completed a mile and a quarter in 2,413, daishing in 3 seconds while the latter covered the same distanos in 244, finishing in 29.4 seconds. Although the time re gistered by Flying Tourist in faster by three gonds, the gallop of Princess Hall appeared to be very Amoy and Pathfinder, two fanet much better. The two ponies are od candidates for the Valley Stakes, sure starters in the Derby and showol fairly good time over the their encouraging performances smile, the former Anishing particu this stage of the training will nearly well. I do not think that "Eons of.. Monay" is the best of the sorica of British farces that we have seen bere, but it is on a consistantly high level and there is one incident, when Ralph Lynn returns from the boat house drossed in qushions and
rudder which is the funniest I' have over seen on the secoen, Had it not been that they wanted to lavoid loosing too much of what followed I believe the audience would have laughed for five minutes over that. and 1ara" sure that reminiscent guffaws punctuat- ed the silence in, a good many homes after lights out last night.
The acting of this hilarious. *. picture is extraordinarily good throughout. Yvonne Arnaud *48 Lynn's wife is admirable, and every gesture'is worth watching. Lynn is his own amazingly funny self. Thon there are Mary Brough in a small but quite good part and Robe-tson Haro as the timid little lawyer the best réle he has had except Lânt in "Rookery Nook,"
