After Tifin.

The game was reanmed at 2.18 p,m. when Lyal bowled from the north end and Mirehouse put him nicely to ling leg for four, and scored another boundary with an on drive. Smith bowled at the other and and after a single to Wales, Mirehouse took a two to extra cover and two nice drives to the boun- [dary. Runs came freely as Wales hind a couple of fours to leg off Lynl next over. Not to be outdone, Mirehouse lifted; Smith into the Bowling Green next over (the first time I have ever seen it done my self) but innde the mistake of trying to play the next ball and was bowled. Bryant succeeded, but was soon bowled by Smith. Things 'were now quieter but Wales, con- tinued to play a strong game on the log side.

Goodwin then went on for Lyal. Jordan was not very happy though Wales continued hitting. uff one shot by Wales a curious incident oc curred as Jordan in starting for the run collided with the bowler, Smith, and damaged his bead rather. He was caught in the next over. Wolfe-Barry did not last long he was bowled having a wipe at Sith. The Army very rightly were hitting at everything. Moir_wus sumped off the next ball. The K.C.C. had about two and & half hours to get the runs and opened with MacKay and Lawrence. MacFarlin opened the bowling with Wales. In the former's second over, MacKay was caught in the gully in Wales' next over Lawrence was stumped, after going out to drive, Fraidy Zimmera and E. F. Fin- cher came together: They began to settle down and Bryant relieved MacFarlan. The change met with succes as in his first over he bowled Zinnern. "Anstruther went on at the other end, and Smith was lucky to carry slip for a four. A stand then ensued both batsmen going stendily. Williams relieved" An- atruther and Mirehouse went on for Bryant. Smith cut the left bander nienly for four and pulled him to the leg boundary. Runa con- tinued to come and Hamilton went on for Williams Fincher was batting very steadily and eighty was up in two hours. I was interested to see that Smith has acquired Ernio Fincher's square cut, Tea Was taken at 4.15.
