In this cheap form of apparatus for the beginner I may mention the Agfa Box camera, and the Box Tengor of the Zeiss Ikon firm. They have instantaneous and time movements, and generally this type is fitted with a slide containing three sizes of openings to admit the light through the lens to suit the varying conditions. A part of the

Perhaps a little more expensive: ia the Dallmeyer "Snapshot" camera, which is simple to operate and permits photography all the year round There are models for roll films or film packs, (the use of the latter I will explain in a subse- quent article.) I saw one of these cameras some time back at Ah Sek's, but it is not stocked at all denters as in the case of the other makes. There are distinctive features "in this camera, and the Dollmeyer' Benson ard renowned for scanio views and portraiture.

Later on I will deal with more expensive models for the advanced amitour, Next week's instalment will tell you how to develop the film. and do the printing yourself. You may not be able to turn out a pic- ture with the artistic excellence of one coming from the Kobza Studio, but what does it matter so long as you can produce a picture which will be admired by your friends and prove a treasure in your, col- Jection.

For those who can afford to spend from 838 to 850 on a reliable" folding camera, I can thoroughly recommend the Agfa "Billy" and the Zeiss "Ikonta,"both" of which I have used with successful results.
