two will go to the post, Gleneagles and Sitting Bull in all probability. Elliott Bay, after peröunting for Boxing Eve last week, might be sent out in place of Sitting Bull, in which ease the race will be no less interesting, but on the whole the chances of their beating Apollo are not very bright,, as Mr. Chan Tin Son's candidate can put up a very good race in the able hands of Mr. Froat. The time should not be very much more than 2 minutos 30 seconds. In view of the Cham- pions "next week, the result of to-- day's race will be more than j teresting.

Following the main ventis n mile race for "D" ponies, and here; it would seem, a big dividend is in the offing. Sunning, alter his Aaccess last week, is now given top weight at 185 pounds and is not likely to do it again, but with “D” class ponies, anything can happen. Celerity is at top weight with Sun- ning and his chances look distinctly better than those of the black mare. Brown Eyes, Choctow II., Sane Bouci and Happy Choice, the last named with only 140 pounds, are all capable of doing the trick, Boa big dividend is quite on the cards.
