A full programme in the football shield competitions was carry ed out on Saturday with the result that there were only two' lea- gue matches. The best game at the afternoon was the Argylls Navy affair which went to the former by the only goal scored in the match." The Club scored a class win over Reervis but the Policy had everything their own way when they met St. Joseph's. In the junior games, the Argyll and Sutherland Highlandera onaily disposed of the Police out the match between "Recreio and R.A.F. could not he brought to a definite conclusion even after extra time was played.
Two league matches were down for decision bat as the Cur- versity failed to put in an appourence, the Navy claimed t walk-over. The other game resulted in a wir for South Wales Borderers over R.A.O.C.

This match took place at Soo- kunpoo and resulted in a win for the soldiers by the only goal scored! during ninety minutes of fust and') ovon play.
The Navy were the first to guza any advantage but frean & Trea kick the Argylla cleared their lines. The Navy came back again and from Robertson's ng kick Redgate narrowly missed. Good work by McTavish sent Wyliin awny, but Dixon intervened and Clucas cars out and cleared. Reid was sent away on the Argyll's rightwing and Bang across a fuss centre for Hughes

Kewloon C.C celebrated their winning of the lawn bowls League championship in, the senior division when they were at home to their friends on Saturday before closing their greens until next season. An enjoyable afternoon was spent by the visitors, the hosts dispensing hospitality on a lavish senle

Mr. J. Howe was the recipient of a unique souvenir, this being a coin which was carried by the player during ench match. Mr. Silkstone said that Mr. Howe was a popular player during the season and the Club had decided to present the lucky coin in a suitable form by mounting it in a silver case with the Club's name and enlours or- namenting it Mrs. Lyal presented the souvenir.

The Airforce ware lucky to make draw of this game and through the Recs were not quite so good as their opponent, they made most of their efforts.
