After enjoying a spell of good weather for some three weeks, the Colony was threatened with a ty phoon yesterday. Although the sky was overenet, with slight rain all whatever and it is not expected that through the day, there was no hlow

The typhicon had been over the Philippines last week but over the week-end was "200 miles trom the Colony, and appeared you- terday to be heading for the Hainan Straits. It is however, considered highly improbable that the typhost will pan over the Colony.

ANNUAL DRAMATIO

EVENING.

The annus dramatic evening of the Hong Kong University Chris tian Association was held on Bug- day at 7.15 p.m. at St. Stephen's. Girls College when a large number of people, including Masses Julia Lem, T. T. Leung, R. Perry, A. Ho, C. Wong, K. Lai and M. N. Bax- ter, were present.

The play, entitled "Brother Sun," was brief but well-performed. The story concerned a Boldan, and two christians who were brought be- fore him as captives to be executed. The words of the Christian's.s0 cop- vinced the Solden, that he released them and ordered that no barm should be done to them.
