TRIBUTES TO ORGANISERS.

Saturday, the final day of the China Exhibition, was also the most successful, bost attended, and from the point of view of the help ors, the busiest day of the threo. For some time before the Exhibi- tion was due to open a considerable aumber of people had gathered but side the City, Hall waiting to be admitted.

The opening ceremony was er formed by the Chief Justice, Bir Joseph H. Kemp, Kt.. C.B.E., K.C., and the Hon. Dr. 8. W. To, O.B.E.. LL.D. They were welcom ed by Mrs. E. D. C. Wolfs (Chair. man),...and members of the Gonerna Committes

WEDNESDAY, November addressed the gathering. Ha enid that he could not allow this last, opportunity to go by without ex- pressing the great thanks they att own to all the organisers" of the Ex. hibition. He said that he himself did one good deed for the Exhibi- tion early on, and that was when he got Mrs. Wolfo to be the Chair man of the Committee.

The Bishop also expressed thanks to all those other workers who had spont themselves in the making of the Exhibition a great success. All those who had been connected, with the Exhibition and had worked for it, he was sure, would feel glad that they had been associated with it.' Further, the Bishop thanked a those who had lent objects to the Exhibition, not only of modern life. but of ancient China, and of the sarly days of Christianity in China.

His Excellency the Governor gave a dinner party in honour of the Chinoso Justices of the Peace. The following were also present: H.H. Sir Joseph Kemp, Hon. Mr. Sou- thorn, Hon. Mr. A. E. Wond. Han Mr. Mackie. Hon. Mr. Paterson. Hon. Mr. Ball. Mr. Gravburn, Mr Dyer, Mr. Shaw, Mr. Stuart, Mr.. Gay, Mr. Copnin, Mr. Wylie, Mr. Owen Hughes. Mr. Macfadyen, Mr Thomson Mr. Schreibor The Band of St. Louis Industrial School played during dinner.

It is admitted on all sides that the Exhibition was com of the best organised affairs of its kind ever held.
