Take b. four, 4oz. butter, 802. honey, teaspoon bicarbonata soda, 2oz. candied peel, a few almonds, 2 eggs, about 1 gill of milk and a pinch of alt. Rub the butter into the flour and salt, add the chopped peel and mix well. Put honey into a basin, break in eggs, boat well and add to flour, etc.; then mix soda into the milk and blend u together
Pour the mixture (which should shallow tin and bake three-quarters not be too stiff) into a well-greased of-an-hour.
This may be cuten cold or hot cold, glaze the top with honey and sprinkle with almonds.
