A sonsation was created in Ice House Street yesterday among the sharebrokers who report was recured by them during the after nocu that a prominent broker, who ember of the Hong Kong Sharebrokers' Association had shot himself.

According to ar oficial of the Hong Kong Sharebrokers' Associa tion, who courteously granted an interview. with a representative of the Daily Press, the broker in question had written to the Asso dation regarding his commitments" for the October Settlement which falls the to-day. A meeting was to have been held in the afternoon to settle his affairs, but the broker failed to appear at the appointed time for the meeting and later a message giving the news of the abooting was received.
