SIGNALLING AT SEA,

GREAT ACTIVITY IN EASTERN

SEAS

The return of signalling between his Majesty's ships and British merchant vessels for the quarter ended March, 1931, shows that 1,290 successful exercises were carried out in all parts of the world.

There was one failure only to establish communication, a fact which testifies to the high standard of signalling efficiency in the. Mer- chant Marine, as well as to the close spirit, of co-operation betweed British ships at sea. 1

Great signal activity is generally to be found in Eastern Seas.
