LONDON, June 13. Lord Trent, formerly Sir Jense Boot, founder and head of the world famous firm of Boots," the chemists, has died.

[Lord Trent who achieved world wide fame through the medium of the famous chemist organisation which bears his name, was born in 1830, of humble parents. In 1868 he married Florence. Rowe, a native of Jersey, and had one son and two. daughters all of whom are still alive. Knighted in 1900, he was created first. Baron of Nottingham in 1913.

Lord Trent maintained a villa in the South of France, and was a member of the National Liberal, Reform Royal Automobile and Chiba.

His heir, the Hon. John Camp. bell Boot, who succeeds to the title. is the present chairman of the Boats interests.]
