In spite of pouring rain in the morning, which made the course. extremely heavy, the weather cleared up aufficiently on Saturday for the last extra race meeting of the season to be held. The attendance was all that could be expected and although rain on again a little after half way through the programme, there was no want of enthusiasm on the part of punters and jockeys, alike.

The day's racing, opened in a sensational manner when the judges had to award a double dead heat in the first race. Thero were several very exciting finishes, the most spectacular being Tay's victory over Misamis in the Novices raco. Later in the day Gold Key accounted for Jill by a short head admidst much excite

There were two protests during the afternoon, both of which were sustained. Gold Key which finished first in the Juling Handi- cap was disqualified for bumping in the straight and in the Boles Handicap "D" Class, Movanagher, which finished second was dis qualified for crossing.

The biggest dividend of the day was paid by Mr. Harriman's mount in the Boben Handicap, Arctic Eve. Those who backed this pony received $135 for their tickets.
