NATIONAL CODE.
The report of the Editorial Com mittes on the International Code of Signals, published recently, marked the closing stage of a task which has been proceeding "more or les continuously since 1919, namely, the complete revision of the Inter- national code of signals used in the Mercantile Marine, a code brought into operation in 1991.
