KING'S THEATRE.
"ANYBODY'S WOMAN."
When photoplay fans of the grea ter new show-world of eye and var diversion think of sophistication with dignity, delineation of delicate denguement withan smirk, and finesse in characterization ranging from gutter to ball-room; there is one kombination which comes to mind.
That is the famous pair “Charm- ing Sinaire, and The Laughing Lady, Ruth Chatterion and Clive Brook, newly and brilliantly ap- pointed by Paramount for "Any- body'a Woman," in its premier engagement as a dialongue pieturo, showing from. to-morrow at the King'a Thontre,
Of course you have heard of the author, Gouverneur Morris; likely you recall the story as "The Botter Wile." The plot is a highly polish- ed treatment of situations and manners. Brook, suavely eloquent to the flick of a cigarette ash, is a man of standing deserted by his wife. Slightly inebriated and on the loose, he meets Ruth Chaiter- ton. show-girl at liberty following the close of production in a coney crusade. Several hours Inter Break finds himself married to her, and in true sportmanship Tives up to the contract. He is ostracised by his friends, only a wealthy client continuing cordial relations; this, for a purpose dis- closed later at a party in which Chatterton is the only woman guest
Certain advances made at the gathering, Brook's attitude at the conduct of his wife and and berie- factor, the reappearance of his first. nistress at the Adjustmont in- dieating happiness under approvod relations, constitute a climax that gives everybody's woman, everybody's man, food for thought. A supporting cast embraces Paul. Lukas, Huntly Gordon, Virginia Hammond, Tom Petricola, Juliette Compton, and Cecil Cunninghnam..
QUEEN'S THEATRE.
AIR CRASH IN "HELL'S ANGELS,"
and
One of the most thrilling crashes seen in "Hell's Angels." Howard Hughes' 24,000,000 film now at the Queen's Theatre, was by no means
alake, "
The company was at Oakland air- port, and fifty planes were "dog fighting," staging the air-battle which is a climax of the picture. Suddenly two of the planes collid. ed, 0,000 feet in mid-air.
Ono 'plane, flown by Stewart Murphy, lost a wing and Murphy was forced to resort to his para- chute, He made a snte landing, but the wrecked plane hurtled to the ground a mass of splinters.
The other pilot, Ira Reed, elect ed to "ride plane," and by skilled manœuvring, landed it safely with but slight damage.
Fortunately the entire accident was recorded by the "Hell's Angels" cameras, so that a real smash-up will be seen among those so carefully planned and executed.
"WHOOPEE."
From Broadway, Hollywood, the beauty contests of two continents and the West End of London, Samuel Goldwyn and Florenz Zieg- feld assembled 105 of the world's most beautiful women forWhoo. peo, the new Eddie Cantor acreon musical comedy, due for presenta tion again at the Queen's Theatro next Wednesday,
