No Consent to Marriage, Pétitioner's case was that neither she nor the respondent intended to give, nor did give, consent to the marriage. They both ergarded the ceremony as a means of making their engagement or promise of marriage more definite with the view of persuading the petitioner's
parents to agree.
The unfortunate thing for the petitioner, his lordsh said, was that there was no cor oration of her story so far as the essential fact of the absence of intention to enter into marringe was concerned, as the respondent had not been examined
