Free meals are provided at the Councit schools for children whose parents are, too poor to pay the small sum asked by the Council. These meals include dinners, milk, eod-liver oil and malt. The dinners are epoked by the senior girls in the schools, as part of their train- ing in eookery, and they take a pride in making them appetising. Thirty children are fod at each A centre, and fifty meals are provided by each centre for consumption on the premises or olsewhere.
