EVERTON DEFEATED AGAIN.
An outstanding football fixture on Saturday was the Inter- national match between Scotland and England which the former won by convincingly defeating the English stars despite the fact that they were deprived of the services of their foremost players owing to the ban placed on than by the English authorities.
Scotland won after a display of traditional sippiness and tactical skill against which England appeared as a ragged force, -as-will-to-acen- from Reuter's cabled description of the match.
The race for championship honours in the English Longue between the Arsenal and the Vilia suffered no change an, both teams secured the points" in comfortable victories. Everton re- coived a further check in their bid for promotion from the Second Division. They were beaten by the Wolves during the week and Stoke City trounced them on Saturday by a margin of two goals. Owing to the International match, the Scottish Longue pro- gramme was eurtailed to four, games in which none of the four leading tenon were engaged.
Results of Saturday's matches as cabled by Reuter and cor- rocted League tables are apponded. SCOTLAND BEAT ENGLAND
