The following classification of ponies for the forthcoming season has been made by the Hong Kong Jockey Club:-
"A" Class,
M, W. Lo and M. K. Lo engaged wach other yesterday in the fourth round of the Open Championship of the Colony in a family tie on the Stand Court, whore they made themselves very much at home. As they had an important issue at stake, they struggled with, and challenged each other with all earnestness, but although appareat Key, Hotman, Jy each tried to drive the other out of the court and out of the cham-King's Bounty, King's Colour, piofihigh, they concluded by love King's Service, Nationalist II. M. W. giving and M. K. taking
Bix-love.
M. W. won as generally expected, the final score in his favour hoing 6-4, 6-0. Fine driving from the basaline was a bright feature of the match. Familiarity with esch other's tactics perhaps necounted for the many difficult saves by both players, which had the effect of iraking the rallies long and inter- esting. The winner showed very good control of the ball and on the whole gaven convincing por- formance.
M. W. Lo thas takes his position among the last eight survivors of this event. Seven places have now Scen led, the last having you to bo fought out. The successful com- putitors boing
