TALKING FILMS IN SCHOOLS.
NEW BRITISH EDUCATIONAL EXPERIMENT. PICTURES TO BE SENT ON -TOUR,
London, Feb, 12-The first cure fully planned attempt to determina the value of the use of talking pic turca as part of the educational system of Great Britain, will be inaugurated this week. The project will be known."äs" Middlesex Experiment," and is being conduct- ed by a committee consisting of representatives of the Middlesex education authorities and
Union of Teuchers. National Fifteen, schools in all have been selected for the experiment, which is not expected to be coneladed before the middle of May, and the pupils will vary in age from eight to fourteen.

Sixteen films of an educationa}· nature have been selected and divided into four groups, and each kraup of films will be shown onço at eneb school at four different times.

Very careful preparations have heen made by the committee in charge to obtain accurate and extensive dain, both from teachers and pupils, as to the results and value of the experiment," from which it is hoped that it will be possible, to forecast the place that sound fims will occupy in the educational feld in the future, and ihe, value of this new method of inparting knowledge as compared with the broadcasting and silent films already in use.
