THAT PROBLEM OF FAMILIES

(Continued from Paye A.

There are the parents who refuse to do without luxuries, who consider another a necessity; they must have sport and travel, dancing and good food. Such men and women have a poor parental instines, value, And, in their case, childlessness many be termed evasion of parenthood through selfless.

Modern Chances..

Thirdly, there are females who are afraid of the pain and risk and so-called danger of motherhood. This fear may be due to a neurosis, the origin of which dates back to incidents in childhood environment. Infantile memories inhibit normal instincts.

At any rate, we may say that the chief reason for disappearing babies is fear." Fear poisons the fabric of society to-day..

Most fears are preventable. Parents of the new generation can protect their children against fear complications by giving them a healthier, a more courageous and more robust attitude 10 Bfe and to society,

Girls are too often brought up to be afraid of the obligations of being women and to believe in the superiority of man, a false premise accepted by 65 per cent. of men and 75 per cent. of women, which is instilled into, children in the nursery: Every girl who is normal. in her psychology and in her femininity and who thwarts mother. hood is bound to be unhappy.

Two children are better than one, and four are better still, if you enn afford them.

ENTER ENGLISH CUP FINAL.

CELTIC AND MOTHERWELL SUCCEED IN CUP MATCHES IN SCOTLAND.

GLASGOW RANGERS LEAD.

Birmingham and West Bromwich Albion qualified on Saturday for the 6nal of the English FA Cup to bo played at Wembley on April 28. It is the first time that Birmingham have reached the final stage. West Bromwich have won the trophy twice in tho early days and they have appeared in the final on four other occasions:

Celtic, who have won the Scottish Cup on no fewer than a dozen occasions, got through into the final of this competition together with Motherwell. The final will be played on April 11.

In the English League matches, Aston Villa did well in beating, the leaders by a comfortable margin, Arsenal's position at the top of the League tablo is in dangor owing to this reverse. Crewe, who are at the bottom of the Northern Section, crented a surprise by taking the points from the lenders, Lincoln City. Tranmere took advantage of this reverse and their own victory to establish themselves in the premier position.

While Motherwell were engaged in the Cup match, the Rangers secured another victory to regain the leadership of the Scottish League. --
