RIVER STEAMER AGROUND.
TIN YAT GOES ASHORE IN
BAD WEATHER,
According to a mesango received in Hong Kong yesterday, the river' stemor Tin Yat has grounded on Pratt Rocks, near Boer Tigris. It would seem that: the grounding was due to bad visibility on Thursday night.
The 8.8. Lungshan, which left Hong Kong about, the same time [ng the Tin Yat, found the latter vigsel sending out distress signals, and, learning of her plight, at once stood by. The Langshan niso, sont a message to Hong Kong informing the local authorities of the Tin Yat's mishap.
It is not known locally whother the Tin Yat's condition is serious, No word has been received from the ship itself and even the local agents were unaware of the mishap until informed by the authorities yesterday..
