INDIANS' SUCCESS AGAINST KOWLOON,

F. D. PEREIRA COMES OFF WITH BAT AND BALL.

CIVIL SERVICE CRICKET CLUB BRING OFF A

" DOUBLE,"

"Chief interest in week-end cricket was centered on the. Kow. Inon-Indiana match at King's Park. The Club-house was packed with spectators, and there was also a crowd on the hillside and banks which surround the ground, and to the delight of the sup- porters of the Sookunpoo team, the Indians won by 97 runs. They havo now placed themselves very strongly, for championship honoura and it in considered by many that they will stay at the top of the league table for the season.

The matel nay be considered & personal triumph for F. D. Pereira though the team played very well together and their field- ing was excellent. Pereira collected 57 runs in a comparatively short stay at the wickets and then went on to get 5 wickets för 52

ING.

Other league matches included an easy win for 0.8.0.0 in the First Division and C.B.C.C. and Polico over the Signals and R.A.§.0, respectively, in the juniors.
