The comfort

of

being right!

You can always tell a careful dresser by a glance in the region of his neck. Since beards went out of fashion, men have grown increasingly conscious of the need for a facial set-off. This is a task admirably performed by shirt, collar and tie,

But nature has been lavish in the bestowal of variations and a little skill is therefore necessary in choosing these items,

We have gained plenty of this skill and are always willing to share it. Why not ask us, and enjoy the comfort of being right?

tions of our race:

Whilst our lack of an organisa- tion has been so long evident, we hope at this meeting we will fill this long felt need.,

That Hong Kong evidently opea had such an organisation I have only recently ascertained. I read only the other day that in 1879 during the administration of Sir Pope Hennessey, a successful Irish function was held on March 17. What was begun fifty years ago might well be carried out to-day. Your presenen here this evening significs you unqualified approval of this Society.

I have been asked to state that our Society is non-Partisan and strietly secular with the sole motivé in view of providing a central Irish organisation which will be able to devoto a certain percentage of its incomo to deserving charities, and on the Irish National Day, will be able to organise a function to which Irishmen may invite their frienda and show them a little of that hos pitality for which the Emerald Isle is to famona.

Rules Adopted.

The proposed rules of the Society. were then put forward and, were adopted after considerable discus. aion while several amendments were innde.

Basis of Constitution.

Before putting the rules forward for adoption, however, the Chair- mand said that he wished to make the basis of constitution clear to All those present. It was as fol- lows:-

The Society has been organised. to draw together members of the Irish race in Hong Kong under whoso control and auspices the an-" niversary of St. Patrick and other national festivals may be celebrat ed. To assist charitable causes in general and in particular to relieve distressed and deserving countrymen insofar as the funds of the Society will permite
