LET US NOW PRAISE FAMOUS MEN.
Dr. Cyril Norwood, headmaster of Harrow Schoot, speaking at Ham- mornmith, W., recently, said that Harrow had probably produced more. great men than any other school in the country. He said
About, 150 years ago Harrow
began to grow. Since then it has produced Ave Prime Ministers, four governors-general, and many others eminent in Church and State. Wherever you turn it has produced great men, such as Shaftesbury and Cardial Manning: When Barrow was dedicatel by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the presence of the Prime Minister, both sons Harrown distinction which has happened to no other school.

the Afrioan coast.
The slave traders," he says, chiclly get their goods from the south and south-west parts of Aby ginin, their favourite, aroas being Galla and Shankalla......
"The elegant, beautiful, light brown complexioned girls of Galle, sho have the grace of a gazelle, ure those most treasured as wives and mistresses, and they fetch ex- tremely high prices in Arabis and adjoining countries," states Herr
Grudil.
Raid for Slaves..
Raids, he says, are constantly being made in the provinces of Shankala when all the women of the raided villages are seized and led away in chains through dark primeval forcats and then pcross the deserts and plains of Dankali, and British Somaliland to the coast, where they are shipped on board dhows at night and transported to Arabian ports,
The much sought-after Galla girls, however, he says, are bought Hingly by Arabian traders, who take them to hidden depots on the Red Bes coast, here they too are shipped
to Arabia.
Herr Gruch sage be sometimes saw hundreds of girl slaves on the march, chained together and being whipped like cattle by traders.
A most of the territory from which the women are kidnapped is Abyssinian only in name, Herr Gruch says that the Abyssinian Government, in its efforts to eup. press the slave traffic, has not yet been able to achieve success.
