Apart from the "big".intch!! (the Club-Army affair) severni friendlica wore played yesterday, chief interest being centred on the mosting of the Kowloon Cricket Club and Royal Navy at King's Park which residted in a win for the home team, University seconds did well to beat the strong Recreio eleven at Kowloon, though it must bo said that the latter were not a full strength, while the annual Electric Company match (between the hops staff and local staff) at Sookunpoo proved very enjoyable. Tho other game was the inter-club match on the Craigengower ground, when the single members of the Club got the better of the bene.

The home staff batted Srst, and with 6 rung for 7 wickets down. declared their innings closed. To this total, the local men replied with 140 for 0, the top-scorer being D. Mohammed (50).

There was an inter-Club match on the IRC ground on Xmas Day when a team of members over 25 years of age beat the "young 'uns" by the narrow margin of 7 ruena.

The latter batted first, and thanks to ap enterprising knock by F. D. Pereira (64) and 30 by H. R. Sund, totalled 128. For the win- ners A, ci/Arculli took eight wickets for 5 runs apicco.

J. S. Abdul-Curreem (35) played over a very good innings for the twenty-fives" but A. H. Rumjaha was a trifle lucky to get 30. Pereira followed up his fine batting by tak ing 7 wickets for 37 runs,

UNIVERSITY BEAT RECREIO.

The University seconds went over to King's Park yesterday where they beat the Recreio in an all-day match by two wickets.

Batting first, the home team com. piled 133 runs, J. H. Figueredo being the top-scorer with 35 mins. For the undergraduates, W. James Bowled exceedingly well, taking s wickets for 40 runs.
