EX-CHAMPION WINS HANDSOMELY FROM NATIONALIST IL

The St. Andrew's Stakes over which there has been so much speculation resulted in glorious win for Mrs. Dunbar's Sitting Full ridden by Mr. Heard. The public supported Sitting Rull, President Hall and Nationalist IL evenly and although there were six starters, the rest of the field never had a look in. Sitting Bull'e victory was an exceedingly meritorious one and the pony should be a hot favourite for the Hong Kong Autumn Champions which is duo, to be run a fortnight bence. Incidentally Mr. Heard played no small part in bringing Sitting Bull home in front of such strong opposition and the result may rightly be called a personal triumph for this experienced jockey,
*
Tango returned to winning form, and necounted for the Second Division of the Lanark Handicap. He should be watched when the Subscription Griffing Champions comes off on Do-
cember 13.
The "D" class handicap event over six furlongs provided the biggest dividend of the day when As You Like It, carrying only 32 winning tickets, came horas a winner to pay £382.00 to each of his supporters. The pony was prominent throughout the race and responded strongly in the straight. The favourite, Osiris, only just managed to dead-beat for third place.
