The machinery and plant of the Brewery are to be supplied by the Skeds Works of Pilsen (the origin. al home of the Pilsoner Boer), who will guarantee the first class qual ity of the beer, and will furnish the services of an expert brewer. This guarantee has been given after export analysis of the water by the Government Analyst of Hong Kong and the Wahl-Honius Institute of Formentology Chicago, U.S.A.
As refrigerating plant will bo required for the Brewery, the manu- facture of ice will also be under- taken, and a contract has already been entered into, on behalf of the Company, with the Hong Kong Dairy Farm, Ice & Cold Storage Co., Ld., for the supply to them remunerativa price of the whole of the Company's excess pro- duation of ice.

It is proposed that the distillery should have an output capacity of $30,000 gallons per year of alcohol both for consumption and for in- dustrial purposes.
CO2 gas will also be produced, as n by product of both the browery and distillery. This gaa is used for refrigeration and for aerating er carbonating purposes in nerated water factories.
The capital is to be 83,000,000 divided into 300,000 ordinary shares of $10 each, but only 50,000 shares (8500,000) are now being issued, as it is estimated that only this amount will be required for the formation of the company-includ ing buildings, plant, machinery, and working capital. The nett pro- fita on this capital outlay of 8500,000 are.(stimated at 24.5 per cont. per annum.

On the other hand, it is quite possible that the recent rise in pric has decided some producers to con tinue cropping, because forward sales could be made at a figure that involved little, or no, loss, and euabied the Jabour force and staff $15.95 to be retained for a further period of time.
