Girl,” | Paramount's all-talking singing and dancing musical extravaganza, produced under the personal super- | vision of Florenz Ziegfeld, will he presented at the Central Theatre commencing to-day. Heading a cast of New York musical comedy favourites are Mary Enton, recently seen on the audible screen with the Marx Brothers in "The Cocon nuts," Eddie Cantor, Helen Mor- gan, the star of the original "Show Bont," Dan Healy and Rudy Vallen.
Produced on a grand scale with several scence of a Ziegfeld first natural night photographed in colours, this Intest Paramount pie- ture possesses all those ingredients that make for gay and delightful entertainment. There are songs, daners, talented choruses and much beauty in the settings, and then there is also a romance which Mary Eaton, Olive Shea, a beautiful now- comer to the screen, and Edward Crandall, recent recruit from the legitimate stage, take care of in charming fashion. This romance, however, is decidedly different from. the usual love interest!' of musical comedies. The manner in which it is developed supplies this picture with an unexpected and agreeable dramatic punch.
