SOME OF THE STALLS DESCRIBED.
CONDENSERS TESTED AT 220,000 VOLTS.
A Popular Wireless representa tive describes his visit to the recent kadio Exhibition which was held at Olympia as follows:-
The approach to Olympia reveal- ́ed great flags and streamers_carry- ing the announcements of Cossors and other enterprising concerns. Outside the building itself a line riostly of seedy-looking gentlemen proffered copies of literature of all Finds, from evening papers to radio catalogues.
Within the entrance hall one was confronted by an array of turnau les reminiscent of a large tube station. "Season Tickets Here," "Special Tickets Here," and so on, indicated exactly which mechant- cal gate you had to pass.
Gravely and efficiently the hordes of arriving visitors were martial- ed into the interior.
The first stand was fittingly en- ough, P.W.'s." There, right at
Thus I was afforded early proof of the influx of foreign visitors to Olympia.
Men In Screens.
Leaving the "P.W." stand, I proceeded to make a systematic tour of the building, determined that I would miss nothing. It Was some task.
Intereating, but tiring. You see, the gallery up- stairs was by itsolf as large as any ordinary exhibition, and the now Empire Hall which led off it would have made many shows look quite small.
First, however, one had to nego into the huge main ball.
Passing along one of the main avenuce the first stand I stopped
to have been quite content merely to arrange their wares in goma more or less symmetrical manner on fabric-coverol tables and counters.
On the other hand, I thought that a few of the exhibitors did marvellously in the most of limit- ed space. For instance, Watmela had their stand in the form of a neat little drawing-room.
Garnett Whiteley again, backed up some of their receivers with large aluminium redoctors. A sitt ple, but very effective scheme. The Lotus stand, I must mention, was. fairly large.
Stands That Stood Out!,
The Bullphone concern distin-
at was a large one very artistical-uished itself by showing a two-

I mingled with this interesting assembly and had the temerity to ask a question myself,
One wondered what the original wners of these iron suits would have said were they suddenly re placed within them!

You noticed such things because they stood out, and whether ac dental or pre-arranged, they did their job in attracting notice. Is Olympia Too Big?",
A valuable job, too, because nover before was there an exhibition inore inclined to bewilder and give one ental indigestion. After all, the nodern radio sot is becoming Bo simple in design that there is little room for absolute novelty in form. And having pored over the con. tents of twenty or so stande, your could hardly expect to discover in nonso diversity at the remaining two hundred or goe

E. K. Cole exhibited mains sols and units built into glass cases, s
the that you could examine "works." And they also had their loud speakers on view, and I, per sonally, learnt of this new activity of "Ekeo's" for the first time,
You will gather from all this that my tour of Olympia was tend ing to become somewhat supersoint and that I was pulled to this or that point by something out of the way. But I imagine all visitors found themselves doing the same. sort of thing-religiously passur every stand, but stopping for any reasonable length of time only when
