SHIPPING FIRM'S £34,000 LOSS.

SECRETARY CHARGED.

£1,500 EMBEZZLED BY PURSER

Seventeen charges of fraud, utter- ing forged documents, and on- bezzlement involving £34,000 were brought against Robert James Hum- mond, who was described as gegre- tary and accountant of the Anchor Line (Henderson Bros., Ltd.), of St. Vincent Plico, Glasgow, when the Glasgow he appeared Sheriff's Court last month. He pleaded guilty.
